Today we are going to talk about the center of my mesmerizing country, India. I live in Madhya Pradesh, a land of timeless wonders and incredible nature. If you are from Amarkantak or anywhere around, you will know how exhilarating and altogether amazing it is to grow up with nature and mountains all around.
Amarkantak is a worship town in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh
It is a unique region with natural heritage. It is the meeting point of The glorious Vindhya and Satpura Mountain Ranges with The Mikal hills. The temples, holy ponds, and waterfalls in Amarkantak are too many to count. It is a Hindu Tirth place (pilgrimage site). This is a site where three rivers, namely the Son, Narmada, and Johila Rivers emerge. It has been popular since the fifteenth century. It is said that the magic and divine power of this place can change the heart of atheists.
Here we can see both Hindu temples and Jain temples. Popularly known as ‘Teerthraj’ (the king of pilgrimages), Amarkantak is frequently visited by pilgrims from all over the world. The town is sacred to the Hindus. It is deemed to be a doorway to Nirwana! Amarkantak houses the Kabir Chabutra, where the Poet Kabir is said to have meditated. What it is also known for is its valuable medicinal plants.
BEST TIME TO VISIT AMARKANTAK
It is a pilgrimage destination and a hill station. It is located in lush green nature, in the hills of Satpura. Thus we can say that apart from the pilgrimage, tourists can visit this place in the winter season to enjoy the scenic nature and experience the beauty and grace of the hill station. The best time to visit Amarkantak is during the winter season. You can also go to the post-monsoon. The rain showers add charm and delicacy to the flora in the region of Amarkantak.
