Do all nightmares come true or are it just our assumptions? Is it really just a fragment of our imagination? Dreams don’t hit you only when you’re asleep. But nightmares hit harder when we’re asleep. Have you ever thought about why what happens, happens?

 

 

It is said that nightmares occur when you keep thinking about something that has you traumatized, some negative thoughts that keep resurfacing, things that keep disturbing you over and over, or feelings like stress and anxiety. Nightmares or dreams give us signs, they mean something. These are special dreams that are meant to convey something to us.

Nightmares could be evil also, they might affect our minds too

There are many different types of nightmares, some of the most common being:-

  • Being chased
  • Falling
  • Separation from a loved one
  • Teeth falling out
  • Being naked in front of people
  • Drowning
  • Missing an important event or being late
  • Injury

 

 

These are some of the most common nightmares that most people say they have to deal with. Nightmares become exceedingly harmful when they disturb a person mentally so, that he becomes afraid of sleep. People start taking pills to sleep dreamlessly. People start to bottle up their feelings which only harms them more.

Usually, people can’t differentiate between nightmaresand night terrors. There is a slight difference between them which is explained down below:

  • Night terrors most commonly happen during the non-REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage of sleep, while nightmares typically happen during the REM stage of sleep.
  • Night terrors are much more common in children, while nightmarescan affect those of any age.
  • Nightmares are often vividly recalled dreams while night terrors are easily forgotten.

 

 

Another important topic that arises when we talk about nightmaresis, what actually are chronic nightmares? Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) commonly causes people to experience chronic, recurrent nightmares. Nightmarescan occur in adults due to some sleeping disorders which include sleep apnea and restless legs syndrome if no other kind of disorder can be determined then a chronic nightmare can be a nightmare disorder.

When we think of nightmares, the first thought which will come up is that the dream is of an unpleasant nature. There is a very widely known myth in Hindu mythology that says that dreams a person sees in the morning are highly likely to come true.

 

 

Some of the more positive dreams that have proven to come true go as follows:

  1. Success in career
  2. Happy and flourishing relationships
  3. Future plans falling into place
  4. Good health and wealth
  5. Mental peace

I believe, that dreams are our emotions and traumas mixed and served. Nightmaresare the outcome of our perspective and our way of thinking. If we are inclined towards optimistic thinking, then our dreams will reflect that but if we are pessimistic, then that’s what our dreams reflect.
